Aotea – Great Barrier Island

There is something really special about Aotea ( Great Barrier Island). I was lucky enough to recently make some art from my last trip to this majestic place, late last year. This painting is one of my passengers…an elder kaumatua .I took a photo of him contemplating life and gazing into the distance without me realising it.  I love the colours of the art studio behind him. This painting will be at the The Auckland Art Show at the Viaduct Events Centre from the 12th of July until the 14th next month. Come along..see you there.
