Simon Stockley makes beautiful, bright, vivid imaginary scenes that are strangely familiar and easily recognisable. Traditionally a painter Simon also creates amazing futuristic images on the computer. Another artist currently showing at Endemic world is the abstract painter Alice Berry. I recently visited the amazingly talented Jack Trolove at Whitespace gallery in Auckland. This new work continues to explore faces and human emotion using oil paint in a highly expressive way. The viewer is easily drawn into these timeless and honest paintings. The exhibition will run until the 1oth of July.
